Founded by Leila, our drive from the very start was to create compression garments that were better than the others available on the market. Having worked with cosmetic surgery patients for many years Leila found a problem - her patients always struggled to find a faja that fit properly.
The only solution was to get a faja made to order, or to go to a tailor for adjustments. Both options took time, were costly and often impractical - there had to be a better way.
Leila set about looking into whether the Colombian Faja could be improved, offering a better fit, made from premium materials and luxury details for the best possible end result. After lots of research, Leila discovered the solution to the perfect faja, and Tendai was created.
Authentic and Elegant
Fajas were originally designed in Colombia specifically as a medical grade garment for post-op wear. Most commonly used after liposuction, a tummy tuck or a Brazilian bum lift, fajas were worn to speed up recovery, decrease swelling and ensure everything healed perfectly.
Fajas were created as an alternative to the standard girdles used for post-op recovery. They offered a tighter and stronger hold and were more effective, however this was only the case when a perfect fit could be achieved.
Women started to notice the amazing benefits that wearing a well-fitted faja offered. Creating that desirable hourglass figure and accentuating their curves, fajas could transform how a woman looked and felt in seconds.
